Did you know that according to a study by West London’s Brunel University when you exercise to your favorite playlist can help you work out as much as 20 percent longer and burn more calories?
“Music blocks fatigue and allows you to keep your pace by synchronizing movements,” says Costas Karageorghis, Ph.D., author of the study.
Even better, the subjects in the study felt as though it was easier to exercise although theĀ intensity of the work out was the same. Songs with a fast tempo, usually between 120 and 140 beats per minute, are the most effective.
